It is needed to create a supply of air into a room. Supply vent valve is designed for use in houses with natural ventilation and in houses with mechanical exhaust ventilation system. Using the device allows you to create a comfortable supply of fresh air when the windows are closed. After installing the ventilation valve in the house begins to work properly ventilation system, the air is constantly renewed. Depending on the model, the air inlet valve lets in a weak stream of air, either into the radiator or into the ceiling. The cold air from the street mixes with the warm air in the apartment. As a result, the temperature inside always stays comfortable and fresh air enters the house. You will be warm even if it is -50 outside.
The easiest option is to put the vent damper on the balcony and open one window for micro-ventilation. The second option is to install a Norvind lite ventilator in the opposite corner of the balcony. There are several other options, including extending the pipe, but you should consult a home ventilation specialist.
