Causes of window fogging: high humidity and lack of heat

By eliminating sources of dampness such as a leaky faucet, a leaky pipe, a flooded basement and a hole in the roof, we can conclude that the cause lies in a lack of air circulation. Probably, many people have noticed: if the windows sweat, it is not long to wait for a new round of trouble. Flowers wilt in the house, children do not get out of allergies and colds, and adults get headaches, drowsiness and apathy - inseparable companions of oxygen deprivation.

The first thing that should be done when sweating windows in the apartment - to eliminate the stagnation of exhaust air masses containing carbon dioxide and moisture vapors exhaled by people, animals and plants. If the exhaust hood works normally, and the building was erected in Soviet times, air stagnation is almost always provoked by excessive sealing of the room. What is the reason for this? When designing old buildings, it was assumed that fresh air would penetrate into the apartments through gaps and cracks in the window frames. Installation of PVC profiles turns the apartment into a gas chamber, impermeable to the inflow of dry air masses, whose mixing with the room air could reduce the concentration of water vapor.

Wall air inlets have been developed for this purpose. They ventilate when the windows are closed, keeping the house warm: you won't freeze even if it's -50 outside. At the same time, the dampers clean the air from dust and remove street noise. It's a technological alternative to ventilation, but without the noise, heat loss, dust and draughts.
